PORTS ACCESSORIES · BUYER’S GUIDE
A gym member reaches for a towel between exercises. A team packs one with its training kit. An event organizer needs hundreds of towels to fit neatly into participant bags. The product name may be the same, but the buying brief should not be.
Choosing custom sports towels starts with that everyday use. Size, fabric feel, branding and care instructions all need to suit the person who receives the towel. This guide looks at Yujia’s YJ-204 microfiber sports towel and YJ-205 cooling fabric sports towel, with practical questions to resolve before placing an order.

Start with the customer’s routine
A towel brief becomes easier to evaluate when it describes a specific situation. “For our gym welcome pack” is a start; “a personal workout towel that fits inside our member bag” gives the supplier something more useful to work with.
| Program | Useful starting point | Question for the sample review |
|---|---|---|
| Gym merchandise | Personal workout use and convenient packing | Does the towel feel comfortable and fit the intended bag? |
| Team collection | Team colors and a recognizable crest | Is the branding clear when the towel is folded or draped? |
| Event participant pack | Individual presentation and an agreed packing format | Does the packed towel fit alongside the other kit items? |
| Cooling towel project | A defined fabric specification and intended use | Are the use instructions and performance criteria established? |
Also decide who will wash it. A retail towel used at home and a towel handled by a gym laundry may need different care requirements. State the intended routine early, so it can be considered during fabric selection.
Microfiber and cooling fabric: two development options
YJ-204: a microfiber sports towel
The YJ-204 custom microfiber sports towel is a starting point for gym merchandise, team collections and branded workout accessories. Its product page offers compact hand-towel, gym-towel and elongated neck-towel formats for development.
The purple illustration shows the towel’s drape, stitched perimeter and a small label near one end. These are useful details to discuss, but the final fiber composition, fabric weight and surface finish are confirmed for the project. Handle a physical sample to judge the feel of the main fabric and the edges against the skin.

YJ-205: a cooling fabric sports towel
The YJ-205 cooling fabric sports towel is a separate development option for fitness brands, teams and events. Its listing specifies cooling fabric, while leaving the exact composition, construction, weight and finishing to the agreed project specification.
Do not treat “cooling” as a complete instruction or a measured result. Before preparing a hangtag, confirm how the selected fabric is intended to be used and what evidence supports any cooling claim. The listing does not establish a fixed temperature reduction, duration or universal wetting method.
YJ-204 is not presented as a tested cooling towel. If cooling is central to your retail offer, raise that requirement explicitly rather than assuming it comes with any microfiber sports towel.

Choose the format and finish together
For a towel intended to sit around the neck, check the finished length, width and how the ends hang. For a compact workout towel, check whether there is enough usable fabric without creating an awkward bundle in the bag. A flat measurement and a folded measurement answer different questions; record both if packing space matters.
The featured models offer custom dimensions, so avoid using a photograph as a scale reference. Send the supplier your target measurements and agree on tolerances. Review the selected edge finish at the same time: a bulky seam or poorly placed label may be noticeable during personal use.
Fabric weight is another separate decision. GSM means grams per square meter; it describes mass per unit area. It does not, by itself, establish absorbency, softness or drying speed. Compare the complete samples against the qualities you actually need, and record finished piece weight if it matters to the pack.
Make the branding work in use
A team crest that looks balanced on a flat drawing can end up facing inward when the towel is draped. Before approving placement, fold and arrange the sample as the customer is likely to use it. Check the logo’s visibility, orientation and distance from the edge.
Both featured models allow custom logo and label options, with the application method selected for the fabric. Ask to see the actual branding on a sample. Consider its feel as well as its appearance, especially when it sits close to an area used to wipe the face or neck.
For colors, supply an agreed color reference or physical swatch and the planned quantity for each colorway. The YJ-204 collection image shows six color concepts, but a screen cannot establish the final fabric color. Keep an approved physical reference for production.

Check care, packaging and the final sample
The care label belongs in the sample review, not at the end of the project. Request instructions for the selected fabric and branding method. Evaluate the towel after the agreed washing and drying routine, checking dimensions, surface feel, stitching, label attachment and logo appearance.
If a specific absorbency, drying or wash-durability claim is required, agree on a suitable assessment and acceptance criteria. This guide does not report performance tests for either model. A material name or an attractive product image should not stand in for that evidence.
For packaging, discuss a sleeve, bag, retail box or coordinated kit according to the distribution plan. An event pack needs the towel to fit with its other contents; a retail display needs the color and branding to remain visible. Check the packed sample before finalizing packaging dimensions and artwork.

Use one approval record for the finished product:
- Towel: model, fabric specification, dimensions, tolerances, finished weight and edge finish.
- Branding: color reference, artwork version, logo size, application method and placement.
- Instructions: approved use and care wording, plus evidence for any stated performance.
- Packing: fold or roll, individual packaging, quantities per carton and kit-assembly requirements.
- Order: quantity by color or design, sample approval record and agreed delivery arrangements.
Sports towel questions
What is the difference between a sports towel and a cooling towel?
“Sports towel” describes a use category. A cooling towel adds a specific material or performance requirement. In the featured range, YJ-204 is a microfiber sports towel, while YJ-205 is developed with cooling fabric. Confirm the selected material and its approved instructions.
What size should a gym towel be?
Choose dimensions around the task and the intended customer. A compact personal towel, a larger gym towel and an elongated neck towel serve different preferences. YJ-204 and YJ-205 offer formats for discussion; final dimensions are established during development.
Does YJ-205 need to be soaked before use?
The current listing does not specify one activation method for every order. Confirm the instructions for the approved fabric sample before adding wetting, wringing or other directions to the packaging.
Can I order towels in team colors with my logo?
Send the color references, artwork, preferred placement and quantities by color. Yujia can review the available fabric and branding options, then confirm minimum quantities, sample costs and production timing for the project.
